Hoosier Horse Fair 2013

This year the Hoosier Horse Fair and Expo (HHF) will celebrate it’s 35th year. Over the weekend of April 5th and 6th, they will be featuring new attractions to keep even the most experienced horse person engaged and enthralled.

The of course are bringing back the breed demos, stallion row, clinics and demos including demonstrations from the Equine Assisted centers from around Indiana. For 2013 the HHF is hosting a clinic with Aaron Ralston. Aaron Ralston is the former host of the popular RFD-TV show “The Ride with Aaron Ralston”. His personal style is all about helping horses understand why humans do what they do. Along with Aaron, there will be several other English and Western riding clinics including a special presentation by Lizzy Traband. If you have never seen Lizzy she is a real treat. Her story is inspiring and every minute spent with her is never wasted. With her infectious smile, outgoing personality and outstanding skill she is one amazing horse woman! Want to participate? The main feature for this year is Ma’Ceo. Described at the “Wildest ride on horseback!”, this eight generation Italian troupe blends Gypsy style with all the grace and beauty of the highest level of equestrian mastery. This stunningly visual 90 minute event will include examples of Cossack Riding, Dressage, Liberty, Roman Riding and the rare tradition of Bareback Riding. You can also visit with their beautiful four legged co-stars which include beautiful rare breeds. They will be offering five performances during the horse fair.

Tickets for this event are $12 in advance for adults or $15 at the gate. Youth ages 7-12 are $7 in advance, $9 at the gate, 6 and under free. The Hoosier Horse Fair has a long and rich history steeped in tradition. The event always promises to be packed full fo exciting events, opportunities to learn and most of all a ton of vendors for outstanding shopping!
