The staff at Strides to Success is honored to share what we have learned over the last 30 years with other professionals in the equine-assisted and non-profit world.  HorseWork was created years ago to formalize the professional development leg of Strides to Success and we are thrilled with how it has evolved.  HorseWork education has become known for content-rich, relevant and cost-effective training workshop facilitators. Debbie and Blair have dedicated their lives to advancing the field of equine-assisted learning and are always excited to share the knowledge gained from their thousands of hours in the arena.  HorseWork’s mission is to help other equine assisted businesses become high quality, sustainable organizations. All workshops start at 9:00a.m. every day and end at 4:30. The Strides facility provides a comfortable setting that offers the following amenities:

• Air-conditioned and heated classrooms, conference room & therapy rooms
• Wireless Wi-Fi access
• Climate controlled arena (for those January workshops our arena is heated up to 50 degrees)
• Easy access to hotels, restaurants, walking trails and shopping.

Travel

We are conveniently located minutes from the Indianapolis airport and have a working relationship with the several hotels close to the barn to provide visitors with stress free workshop experiences including airport pick up and transportation to and from the barn each day.  The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast and we provide lunch and snacks throughout the day so all you need to worry about is dinner.

Content

Our workshops are always panned toward the end of the week and are broken into 3-day workshops as well as the new intensive option so you are your staff can choose the best option for your budget and schedule.  We take the time to get to know you before you arrive so we can tailor the learning to fit the needs of the group.  Each day is packed full of hands-on learning from the principles and foundations to horse time and time to discuss specific scenarios related to your situation. We know your time is valuable and you want to walk out of a workshop with not only ideas but practical solutions and plans you can implement the minute you get home. We take the time to make sure that is what happens.

HorseWork workshops cover a variety of topics from program planning, sustainability, contracts and partnerships fundraising and so much more.  It is perfect for any professional from those just getting started to the seasoned organization looking to grow regardless of your current training or organization affiliation.

Cost

Budgets are tight these days so we are committed to making workshops affordable and convenient for your staff.  Our fees are still some of the lowest in the industry and there is no other organization in the country who can match what we offer to attendees in resources, planning and commitment to long term relationships.  There are discount opportunities for groups and consider hosting a workshop onsite at your facility to make it even more convenient. Cost includes breakfast, lunches and all HORSEWORK Training Manuals. For the EAL Facilitation workshop, the price includes a special field trip event. Intensives

Based on feedback from attendees of two or more of our workshops, we have created a one-week intensive option to help minimize travel.  The intensive is one week and combine our three best workshops into one.  During this week, the content is focused on delivering the tools and skills needed to grow your program including sustainability and program development, equine assisted learning foundations and facilitation skills.  If this option is right for you, call us to get more details.
