Santa visits Stride to Success for Christmas with the ponies

Strides to Success will play host to Santa and hi helpers at the annual Christmas with the Ponies event this Friday and Saturday. On December 14 and 15th from 4pm to 8 pm Santa will visit the barn for a fun evening of cookies, punch, crafts and games. Strides to Success is a unique equine experiential learning center located right in the heart of Plainfield, Indiana just minutes from the Indianapolis airport. Sometimes described as a laboratory, Strides is home to some of the pioneers of equine assisted work. Debbie Anderson, the founder and Executive Director is known nationally for her ground breaking work combining horses and education and is a regular speaker at professional gatherings. This center combines interaction with horses to enrich the quality of life for countless individuals in central Indiana. The staff is top notch carrying the highest credentials and training that the industry offers. Their programming is completely custom to every person that walks through the door and includes mental health interventions, coaching for children and adults, therapeutic riding and leadership development to name just a few. They are also the only barn in the Midwest to offer mounted yoga also known as Equiyo. They are also extremely blessed to be one of only a few centers to be an official partner to the Wounded Warriors program offering coaching and experiential programs for veterans. Strides is among only a few centers in Indiana to carry the Premiere accreditation status from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship which defines why they are known throughout the US as the go to site for professional development and training in the US. Even with their high achievement, they are still reliant upon donations and grants to help fund the high cost of equine assisted services. The Christmas with the Ponies event is one of their main fundraisers throughout the year. The cost to get in is only $20 per family and all proceeds will go to support this beacon of hope in our community. All ages are welcome and encouraged to come meet the horses, play some reindeer games in the heated arena and indulge in some holiday refreshments. Kids can even visit with Santa and make small gifts for family and friends with Strides own elves. this event is proudly sponsored by Hendricks Regional Health and Brightpoint. Visit their website for more details and directions to the facility. Look forward to seeing you there!
